Come on an adventure with me and I will introduce you to some of the locals.

Hi, my name is Gavin and I am your tour guide. I grew up in Perth with two brothers and was fortunate to live only a short distance from both the Swan River and the Indian Ocean. Most of my leisure time growing up was spent exploring the river or the ocean, surfing, snorkelling or trying to catch a fish for our dinner.

I started using Hobie Kayaks about 15 years ago to explore the waterways and get up close to our local wildlife to see them in their natural habitat. This unique pedal-powered watercraft allows us to travel long distances safely and without much effort. I have been fortunate enough to have some amazing encounters with seals, dolphins, turtles and whales as well as a wide variety of sea birds including the magnificent Ospreys (sea eagles).

I decided a while ago that I wanted to share these experiences with other people, so I now have a small fleet of pedal powered Hobie Kayaks and Stand Up Paddle Boards to take small groups of people out on the water.

As well as having beautiful rivers and oceans, WA also has some magnificent scenery on land so I try and combine both land and water based activities into our tours. On land we often encounter kangaroos, emus, lizards and birds of prey. My goal is to take you places where you can get those amazing photos that showcase the beauty of our natural environment. We also take a Mavic Pro drone, Go Pro and Underwater camera with us to help capture all of the action.

I am a Swan River Guardian so can tell you about some of the more unusual creatures that live in the river and I am a trained Dolphin Watch volunteer, helping record information about the activities of our resident Swan River dolphins. You may wish to join us on one of our Dolphin Watch tours.

As well as having a good knowledge of our local wildlife, I also have a keen interest in how the aborigines used to live off the land before European settlement. On our tours we often find local bush tucker and bush medicine used by the original inhabitants of this country.

So come and join me on a little adventure to meet the local wildlife in their natural environment, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

Our daughter Madeleine joins us to help out from time to time when she is not studying and she is also in charge of our Social Media. Behind the scenes, my wife Natalie helps prepare some of the wonderful food that we take with us on our adventures.
